If you want a pocket vaporizer that works, the I-O-Lite is a great option. It is at the expensive end of the range, weighing in at around $200, but it is worth every cent. It catalyzes butane to heat the herbal blend, meaning that you do not have to worry about your batteries running down at an inconvenient moment, or try to juggle inhaling with holding a lighter in the right place. It looks the part, too, and is definitely the best personal vaporizer out there
The Volcano Digital Vaporizer
This is a Volcano Classic with electronics added and still keeps the principles of quality and efficiency that have kept the Volcano Vaporizer at the top of the tree for so long. It isn’t cheap but, because it will last for years, it will pay for itself. The Volcano still provides the ultimate vaporizing experience.
The Easy Vape Digital Vaporizer
This relatively new entry is packed with electronic gizmos and even has a remote control. Apart from the LCD screen and digital temperature control, it incorporates food-grade parts and we found the vapor quality to be excellent. On the face of it, it seems to be a better deal than the Volcano, coming in at half the price. We will reserve judgment until we can assess the quality and see how long it lasts.
The Vaporfection Stealth JR VDS II
This is one of the best vaporizers online and is one for the purists. The cold, functional exterior may not match the colorful tiles of the HotBox or the retro look of the Easy Vape, but it does its job perfectly. You plug it in, wait for it to heat, and inhale good vapor. A simple principle forgotten by some manufacturers who seem determined to overcomplicate things.
The VaporGenie
The VaporGenie is certainly not for the novice, who may be better served by an I-O-Lite, but it is a favorite amongst the traditionalists. The VaporGenie is like an old-fashioned pipe but you use a lighter to heat the element and vaporize your tobacco. This is difficult to master but, for many of us, it brings back memories of how we used to do things. A great bit of kit at a low price.
